What is Altın Kesi?

Altın Kesi ("the golden cut") is a two-stage treatment for cellulite dimples developed by Uzm. Dr. Siyamek Saleki. Its name describes its logic: the problem is not on the surface of the skin but in the bands pulling it down, so the solution lies in releasing those bands.

Why Do Cellulite Dimples Form?

Beneath the skin, fibrous bands (septa) connect the dermis to the tissue below. When these bands stiffen and shorten they pull the skin downward, while the fat between them is pushed toward the surface — a dip where the skin is tethered, a bulge in between.

The key point: this is not a problem of excess fat but of tethering. That is why losing weight, exercising, or treatments that work only at the surface often fail to correct pronounced dimples.

How Is It Performed?

• Stage 1 — releasing the bands: Using very fine needles, the fibrous bands creating the dimple are targeted and released. Once the downward tension is gone, the surface lifts.
• Stage 2 — supporting the space: A substance that stimulates collagen production is applied to the released area, to limit the bands re-forming in the same way and to build the area's own support.

The second stage is what makes the difference: release the bands without supporting the space and the tissue can simply re-tether.

Not the Same as "Golden Needle"

Radiofrequency microneedling works on skin quality — firmness, pores, scar appearance — and does not cut bands; for that we use Morpheus8. Altın Kesi targets the tether itself and suits pronounced, individually visible dimples.

Who Is It For?

People with pronounced, depressed dimples on the buttocks and thighs that have not responded to weight loss or exercise. It can also be considered for surface irregularities after fat transfer.

It is not performed where there is active infection or an open wound, in bleeding or clotting disorders, while taking blood thinners, or during pregnancy. It is not a weight-loss or body-slimming method.

When Are Results Seen?

Part of the improvement is noticed early, as the tension is released. The fuller result settles gradually over weeks with collagen renewal. Bruising and tenderness can follow the session and subside with time. The number of sessions depends on how many dimples there are, how deep they are and how large the area is.
